Nairn is a Victorian seaside town that boasts 2 championship golf courses (Curtis Cup 2012) and sweeping golden sandy beaches. Excellent location for touring Highlands year around. Great for families and anyone who enjoys the outdoors, beautiful scenery or exploring castles, monuments and attractions eg MacBeth's Cawdor Castle, Culloden battlefield and Loch Ness are close by. Discover how whiskey is made and taste for yourself a selection of free single malt whiskeys at Glenfiddich distillery one of many on the nearby Speyside whiskey trail. In contrast, the Cairngorm mountains offer excellent sports year round inc skiing, climbing, off road driving, if this is too active for you, sample the scenery from a trip on the Strathspey Steam Railway. Every summer, Nairn has an abundance of activities inc the annual Nairn Highland Games, International Book and Jazz festivals. It is little wonder that for many years, Charlie Chaplin and his extensive family spent every summer in Nairn.
