Bangpakong is situated between Bangkok and Pattaya. There are excellent and fast road links to both cities. It is a 20 minute drive from the Bangkok Airport. There is a full facility golf driving range on site at Tropicana Villa. All bays are equipped with fully automatic ball teeing machines and drinks and snacks are available from noon until 10 pm.
Tropicana Villa is one of a group of villas facing on to a beautifully designed large pool with a shallow sloping children’s pool at one end. The lush landscaped tropical gardens contain palms, coconut, banana, and large poplar type trees which are home to many kinds of birds and other wildlife. Gentle breezes are always present, coming from the nearby Gulf of Thailand, which means the temperature is always pleasant. Although the traffic links are excellent to and from Tropicana Villa the area is very peaceful. The only noise you are likely to hear are the rustling of the leaves on the trees by the sea breeze coming from the coast. On the ground floor the lounge/dining area is L shaped open plan with cool marble floors, the lounge area is sunken with patio doors opening on to a terrace and the tropical gardens. Both the lounge and dining room are air conditioned. The garden opens on to the swimming pool and is ideal for al fresco barbecues and pool parties.
There are excellent Thai and European restaurants within driving distance as well as shops (Tesco are 15 minutes drive away). The resort city of Pattaya has a wonderful variety of restaurants and all of the leisure facilities you could wish for and is only an easy 50 minute drive away. It is an easy 35 minute drive to central Bangkok and with its fine hotels, culture and arts, bustling street/floating markets and wonderful Buddhist temples it is one of the most intriguing cities in the world. Golfers will feel they have arrived in golfing paradise as the courses are stunningly good, the club houses are palatial and offer a standard of facilities undreamed of elsewhere, caddies are provided at all courses and green fees are suprisingly low. We have a detailed knowledge of golf in this area and so can arrange tee times and give detailed advice to ensure you have the most wonderful experience. We can even provide the odd player to make up a two or four ball if needed! During your stay we can arrange boat/diving/sailing/fishing trips from nearby Pattaya.We have access to a yacht based in Pattaya and can arrange a crewed charter if you would like to sail in this fantastic cruising area. We can arrange half and full day cycling tours of 'Hidden Bangkok'. Take an opportunity to explore the Chao Phaya river on 3 day/2 night or 2 day/1 night cruise on board a traditional teak rice barge. Enjoy a cold drink as you watch the rural Thai backwaters drift slowly by.
Tropicana Villa is furnished to a very high standard with all new fittings. The ground floor, as well as the living and dining rooms, comprises a fully fitted European style kitchen and guests WC. The first floor comprises a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a terrace overlooking the gardens and swimming pool. There are a further two bedrooms, one of which has a balcony, and one shower room with WC. All the bedrooms are air conditioned and have cool parquet floors. Tropicana Villa will particularly appeal to visitors who are looking for a quiet stylish location, but also somewhere not too far away from the facilities of a resort or city which can be dipped into when the mood takes. Dr Chiangtong, and her English husband Henry, live in Bangkok and nothing is too much trouble to ensure guests have the most wonderful time during their visit.
