Casa Montana is a stunning Spanish townhouse in the heart of Bocairent nestled in the Sierra Mariola mountains just an hour away from several award winning beaches such as Gandia and Valencia. Green and lush, we enjoy the best of all worlds - pure mountain air and spring water from the font, the best Valencian traditional cooking, several busy bustling bars and of course tranquility away from all the madding crowd.
We bought Casa Montana in 2004 and spent several years completely transforming the property which hadn't been lived in for over 30 years. The house has been renovated to a very high standard keeping lots of the original spanish features. It is within easy reach to all amenities, including the local Saturday market for fabulous fresh produce, bargain hunting, and many excellent restaurants for eating out. The property benefits from its own Private terraces on the ground and first floor. Very comfortable spacious living room, a large dining room which can comfortably seat 8 with a cosy log burning fire. You can even dine al fresco on the spacious ground floor terrace. We also have a fantastic basement perfect for entertaining. The basement has it's own private bar, pool table and chill out rooms. We love using this space when we come on holiday as it's perfect for keeping the kids happy. Just what you need while you're enjoying a glass or two of spanish red! Casa Montana is around 100 years old and has just undergone extensive renovations keeping many of it's original spanish features. The house has a fantastic grand feeling as soon as you enter and has been furnished with top quality furnuture imported from the far east. Each room has it's own style. The accommodation comfortably sleeps 8 and consists of: 1 x Double bedroom with en suite, 1 x Twin bedroom with en suite, 2 x King bedrooms with en suites. We can accommodate another 4 people in your party if necessary in the 2 king bedrooms with single beds. This makes maximum total occupancy of 12. The townhouse is ideal for families, large groups or couples with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay. What you're getting when you stay at Casa Montana is 5 star luxury!! The Costa Blanca area is famous for its healthy and sunny climate making it a great all year around destination. Bocairent is situated within the sierra mariola mountains which is an inland region of Valencia, famous for its orange and lemon groves. Were only 60 minutes away from Valencia the third largest city in Spain. The Fallas celebrations in March, with their large paper mache floats and fireworks shows, are among the most spectacular in Spain, while the City of Arts and Science offers museums and architecture by Santiago Calatrava. There are two museums, the Archaeological Museum which has pieces from the Sarsa Cave, one of the most important Neolithic sites in the Mediterranean and the Moor and Christian Museum which gives you an insight into their history. *Visiting the Covetes Dels Moros, is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. This is a group of caves made up of around 50 rooms with holes like windows. It is thought these caves would have been formed around the 10th or 11th century.
