King Richard and Queen Eleanor lie buried in the Magnificent Montsereau Abbey very near Serum once a Prison now a Museum. The Atlantic Coast is 2 hours away by car. Short Sea routes from UK by ferries inc. Speed ferries and by Air from Stansted to Tours and 1 hour drive from the Cottage. Wonderful all year round temperatures just like Kent. Loire has been designated a Heritage Centre and as such daily tours are arranged locally.
