"De Groene Boomgaard" is a restored farm in the centre of Poesele. Poesele, a borough of the town Nevele, is with its 480 inhabitants one of the smallest villages of Flanders. The holiday cottage is situated on a domain of one acre, which includes a pasture with sheep, an orchard and an attractive ecological garden . The country is ideal for cycling and counts several beautiful castles (Ooidonk, Poeke). At a distance of 5 km you'll find the painter's village St-Martens-Latem with various walking respectively cycling tours. Excursions to the medieval towns of Gent and Bruges at respectively 20 and 30 km from Poesele are highly recommended. And only a little further you reach the Belgian coast.
The farm consists of two cosy holiday cottages ("gites"), one for 4 and one for 5 persons. Each cottage has a sitting room with television, dinette with fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom with toilet, washstand and shower and sleeping accomodation . A cot is available on request.
You can enjoy the spacious terrace with garden furniture in a pleasant enclosed garden. Both cottages face the inner court as well as the orchard and pasture. A barbecue set is available. Children will enjoy the swing and sandbox, adults can measure up to each other in playing "jeu-de-boules" . A few sheep, chicken, cat and a dog add the necessary liveliness to your stay. Parking is available.
