Culburra Beach is approximately 1 hour from Wollongong and 2.5 hours from southern Sydney. From Nowra turn off the Princes Highway and follow Culburra Beach Rd.
The town has a variety of shops including supermarkets, bakery, chemist, newsagent and bottle shop.

There are two beaches which are patrolled in the summer holidays, and offer good conditions for swimmers, and families with small children.

A boat ramp is located at Crookhaven Heads offering a safe launching facility for access to the Crookhaven and Shoalhaven Rivers.
