Freedom Center is a home for the soul. We have a 2 bedroom cabin that can sleep 5 and several rooms in the house: downstairs double bed private room, upstairs front room with a double bed and single bed on floor; upstairs family/group room has 5 single beds that can be moved to put together some king size beds too.
The property has a yoga room, spa with massage table, country store, large organic vegetable garden, berry bushes, childrens play house and tree fort, as well as a large parking area.
There is room for 2 caravans to hook up in the back near the barn.
The property is on a main road that goes from Stockholm up to the Norwegian fjords.
The village originated as a camping spot for pilgrims traveling along the river Ljusnan (translated to be “the light” in the valley of light). This Nordic countryside is magical with pines, white birch, fresh rivers and lakes to swim and fish in.
I call this area “the real Sweden” with classic log farm houses and a living close to the land feel.
During the winter it is a white wonderland with out of the door access to cross country skiing and a downhill slope a short 15 minute drive away.
We keep a very wholesome “connection to Mother Earth” spirit here and eat mostly vegan (all diets are welcome with consideration to use only certain cookware for animal products).
