Exchange Zones

Our beautiful home sits in a rural subdivision on 2.5 acres on a small lake. We have a canoe and dock on the lake and the lake is great for fishing, swimming (in the summer) and boating in our canoe. Our home is 4 bedroom, 3 bath but there is always family here as 5 of our 7 children live nearby and 2 live here while attending college in Atlanta. Your bedroom has separate access via double French doors accessing the lake just a few feet away. It is furnished with family antiques - decorative plates from a great-aunt's foreign service tour in China in 1910, a dresser from a grandmother's bridal suite, and a large armoire for storage and closet. But pictures are best and I just today (October 26, 2010) took these photos as the house is today. We have cut trails down each side of the lake to the points: the one on the left has a covered picnic table and the one on the right has a wooden swing. The lake is regularly stocked with bass and perch. On the second floor of the house (John and Donna have our bedroom on the 3rd floor) is the main living area, the kitchen, the laundry, etc. which you will be sharing with whichever members of the family are at home at the time you are here. Nearby to the south are all of the amenities of a 5+ million population city - the largest in the Southeastern US - and to the immediate north are the wilderness areas which attract so many visitor to see the waterfalls, mountains, and wildlife (some of which ventures by our home regularly: deer, possom, fox, turkey). Like anywhere but downtown in a metro area in America, you will need to rent a car, but we are "only" 10 miles from an express bus terminus that connects to Atlanta's rail and bus system.
