Four years ago we have become owners of a lovely twin house located in the University City. Our home is located in a residential neighborhood only moments away from Philadelphia’s Center City, numerous museums and famous Independence Hall. Philly conveniently located in between other larger cities is an excellent spot for day or weekend trips. We are an hour away from the ocean, two hours from New York, and three from Washington.
Two-story twin, built around 1920, in a historic neighborhood of Victorian houses in University City/West Philadelphia part of the city. We live on the first and second floor connected by nice spiral stairs. First floor has a large open space encompassing kitchen, living room and a space currently designed as a play spot for our daughter. Leaving room is furnished with a very comfortable sofa, armchair, coffee table, tv and bookshelves. Here you will also find an old school adapter and many of vinyl records for those evenings when are home and want to relax. Each floor has a bathroom with a bathtub. On the second floor we have our master bedroom, office space for two people and another bedroom for our daughter that connects to the main bathroom. Backyard is fairly big for city standards with cherry and fig trees, some vine, sand box and swing for children. Back deck accommodates an eating area.
Our house has hardwood floors, washer (no dryer – we hang clothes on the rack), dishwasher, wireless internet, two adult bikes (one with a seat for a baby) and one for 2-4 year old kid.
We also have a car that can be included in the swap: 10 year old Saab 95 combi in surprisingly great shape!
