Our house is located in Hoboken, NJ– a recently renovated 3-story townhouse on a street that has kept its 19th century character. On the ground floor is a spacious kitchen looking out onto a small back garden, a living room with a comfortable day bed, and a pretty tiled bathroom with shower. On the second floor are two rooms we use as our office, which will be closed during your stay. A double inflatable mattress can be set up in the room overlooking the back garden. On the third floor are two bedrooms sharing a bathroom with tub and shower. Washer and dryer are for your use during your stay.
Hoboken is a lively, safe city with a mile-long park along the Hudson River. It is a great alternative to New York City for those looking for a break from the big city pace. Gourmet grocery shopping, famous Italian delis and bakeries and restaurants are packed into the Mile-Square City.
Over the years we have hosted many friends from abroad and they are always surprised by how easy it is to stay in Hoboken, while visiting New York City.
Port Authority Bus Terminal at 42nd and 8th Avenue runs busses to Hoboken till 2:30am, leaving you a block from our house- 8 minutes off-peak! Ferries cross from 39th St to 13th St. till 10pm. The PATH train runs all night to 1st St, Hoboken, from many Manhattan locations. From the Hoboken PATH station you can take a taxi or walk one mile along the river or up Washington St to reach our house. Newark Airport is 20 minutes away
