Coastal Maine Vacation home. Open concept (1700 sq ft, eco friendly new construction) 3 bed, 2 &1/2 bath midcoast Maine home in beautiful wooded setting. Very close to salt marsh, Thomas Point Beach, scenic New Meadows River and many beautiful peninsulas and beaches. Less than 5 miles to Brunswick and Bath, Bowdoin College, cultural events, restaurants and shopping. One half hour to Portland. Offers the advantages of rural living with easy access to civilization; a great jumping off point to explore the Maine coast.
My first grandchild is due late this summer in Oakland CA and my daughter has asked me to be nearby for the whole month of September to help out. (their apartment is too small to house us) I would also like to be there for a shorter time in late July and early August. Ideal location is near Lake Merritt, Lakeshore Drive area, but open for other nearby locations. Apartment or house both fine, as long as neighborhood is relatively safe. I am open to discussing a car exchange as well. My partner will be there in studio building adjacent to house for part of the time, to make sure all systems are working well. He will probably be with me in California for part of the time.
(BTW September is usually a prime time to explore mid coast Maine, less crowded than summer with great weather; late summer great also!)
