Charming cottage, nestled into rustic mountain setting at 6,400 ft. Cozy living room with Franklin woodstove which opens to fireplace, eat-in kitchen with seating for six, loft bedroom with beautiful, intimate view of bolders, oaks & evergreen trees. Small bathroom with tub/shower. Long distance views of mountains, lights towards Los Angeles & ocean range from livingroom & small front deck. Back deck with intimate views of bolder garden & small ravine where small waterfalls & stream appears with large rains and melting snows. If you like wildlife, you'll enjoy all the birds & chipmunks scampering around the bolder garden & back deck. Rustique, fairly steep path a few steps from carpark up to cabin.
Lots of hiking, snowshoeing (we have 2 pairs)...starting right at the back door of the cabin or closeby you can rent cross-country skis. This is a wonderful choice if you love natural beauty all around. Most of the neighbors are using their cabins as second homes and rarely using them even so.
3 miles to nearest ski slope, 15 miles to Big Bear Lake & ski slopes. 13 miles to Lake Arrowhead with a charming village of shops and eateries - some with lake views. 15 miles to Redlands (on the flatland with 10 theatres in their cinema comlex. Great restaurants there too. 7 tenths of a mile is a bar & grille, 1 mile to great burgers, fries & breakfasts. 2.3 miles to pizza, a small food market with great selections of foods plus a deli. "Super markets" for foods at Arrowhead, Big Bear or just down the mountain - all about same distance. 75 miles to Laguna Beach or Los Angeles, bit shorter distance to Palm Springs.
