Our home is a converted coach house, originally part of a large country home (with pretensions to be a Hall!!. It's located in the small hamlet of Allerwash close to the villages of Newbrough and Fourstones. It is a surprisingly large house with a lounge, dining room, kitchen, study, 4 bedrooms with double beds, two en suite and a family bathroom. It is completely modernised with all modern conveniences including wifi.
Outside is our single large garden. There are two patios and garden furniture and ample parking for 4 cars.
We, Peter and Sandy, are a happily retired couple, our children having flown the nest. Animals and children welcome. There is a double garage where the washing machine is located but is usually full of bikes and rubbish! Typical male!
We are within easy driving distance of Edinburgh, York and the Lake District. There is a cinema and theatre in Hexham as well as a wide range of cultural activities in nearby Newcastle. And of course The Sage concert hall in Gateshead of which we are very proud. It hosts a wide variety of musical events, classical, jazz, folk. Every taste is catered for. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby and 4 supermarkets in Hexham and the Co-op (open all hours) in Haydon Bridge. Also located there is the best butcher in the world. We're not prejudiced!
