Very nice chalet/holiday home situated in the Ciucaş Mountain. Cheia is a mountain resort, gateway to Transylvania, 50 kilometers south of Brasov.
Heights: - Ciucaş peak (1954 m) - Muntele Roşu (the Red Mountain, 1765 m) - Zăganu peak (1817 m) - Cheia resort (875 m). Opportunities for rock climbing, hiking, and mountain climbing at nearby sites. If needed, we can provide a tour guide for the trip in the mountains, also a pick-up from the Otopeni, the International Bucharest Airport. Attractions: - Cheia Monastery, monastery for monks, painted by a famous artist - Slănic Prahova, one of the oldest salt exploitation in Europe - 30 km - Maneciu lake 20 km - Brasov, the medieval settlement once called Kronstadt with Old Citadel, Black Church, Aqua park, Poiana Brasov (sky resort) - 50 km Accessibility by car/bus: Bucharest - Cheia : 125km (half of the distance on highway) |
