I live in the center, downtown of Lisbon, very close to Chiado area, the livest part of Lisbon, a area filled with restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. From here you can easily walk through the center of Lisbon, or catch the subway (in my street), the charming 28 tram, a bus or train to go wherever you want.
My house is on the 4th floor with no elevator close to Rossio and Praça do Comércio squares.
My house has a perfect mix on my perspective: location and confort. By staying in it you will be in one of the most exciting areas of the city and you will find a very comfortable, modern and light place to stay.
Rossio and Praça do Comércio squares are the city's main promenades. This is the ideal location for walking lovers as it allows easy access to the other picturesque neighbourhoods of the city, like Chiado, Bairro Alto, Castle (S. Jorge) and Alfama. It is also at less than one minute walking distance to the subway (it's on my street) and train stations that can take you to the beaches around Lisbon or the beautiful village of Sintra.
After the big earthquake of 1755, when the centre of Lisbon was destroyed, a new city centre was constructed, made of grid pattern “geometrical streets. This area, situated between Praça do Comércio, Rossio and Praça da Figueira is called Baixa (Downtown), where my apartment is located.
The area is served by 2 subway lines , numerous bus lines and tram lines that will help you explore the city and nearby tourist sights such as Sintra and Cascais or the beaches around Caparica and the Estoril coast.
The main advantage of the flat is it's location!
