A large traditional two story country house 25 mins from the capital Kota Kinabalu. The house is in a quiet traditional Sabahan village, surrounded by an acre of forest - full of birds, wildlife and fruit.

Perfect base for those who prefer more active sports such as diving, rafting, trekking, bird watching, fishing and those who prefer just to relax in Borneo´s all year round tropical climate. 28 - 33c everyday of the year!

Car and bicycles included.

The house is in traditional Borneo style - built on stilts with the main living area upstairs.

Upstairs
Lounge
Large open lounge leading out onto a beautiful sun lit terrace, overlooking and surrounded by a small forest - perfect for those lazy days.
There is no TV (something we don´t feel we need) but high speed wifi throughout the house - computer available.

Kitchen
Simple light and spacious kitchen with new fridge-freezer, oven and stove.
Excellent traditional Sunday market - a fresh fish and tropical fruit paradise - as well as daily night market for tasty local cooked food and all fresh produce.
Town - 10 min walk or 2 min drive - has 2 large supermarkets as well as many traditional Chinese and Malay restaurants and shops for all day to day needs.

2 Bedrooms
Two large airconditioned rooms - not really needed as the house is extremely light and airy. Ceiling fans throughout the house. The master bedroom has an on-suite bathroom (shower) and small balcony.
Both double beds - kingsize and queen size.

One attached to master bedroom. Shower.

Downstairs
Open covered patio and large lawn. Perfect for activities and games, eg badminton, BBQ, etc

Two rooms
One is used as my office and the other as my partner`s art studio.

Garden - 1 Acre of land
Large open lawn and fruit trees - mango, mangosteen bananas, coconut and rambutan.
Herb garden.
House surrounded on 3 sides by forest/jungle - very private and secluded.
