We live in Angers, France, which means that if you want visit Paris, you can go there by train in 1½ hours, and if you want go to the beach, you can also get there by train or by car in approximately 1¼ hours. Our apartment is absolutely charming, with parquet floors, beamed ceilings and modern interior decoration. There are two bedrooms: perfect for a couple or a small family! Very good location in Angers, just five minutes' walk from the city centre, where there are lots of shops, bars, coffee-shops, restaurants, cinemas and nightclubs. Our quarter has a discreet, rural charm. You'll be delighted by its wood-framed houses, its private townhouses, its Angevin residences with their pale tufa facades, and its many green spaces. you can also find a lively student atmosphere, or enjoy the quiet banks of the Maine. The vineyards of Anjou, at the heart of the Loire Valley, are part of France's third-largest wine-growing region. The Castle of Angers: Discover one of the best-preserved mediaeval fortresses in France. Plus au sujet du voisinage All around Angers, there are lots of châteaux you can visit! And because they are often still lived in, they are both warm and welcoming, and the owners are passionate about sharing their heritage and family history with visitors. Gastronomy: There are many regional specialities! The Museum of Fine Arts: The Musée des Beaux-Arts offers two permanent exhibitions, "Beaux-Arts du XIVe au XXIe siècle" (Fine Art from the 14th to the 21st century, in paintings and sculpture) and "Histoire d'Angers", (The History of Angers, with archaeological and art objects from the Neolithic period to the present day). Providing a link between the past and the present, the site also offers the opportunity to view temporary exhibitions of various kinds. For those who love cycling amidst wonderful nature, "The Loire by Bike" in Anjou offers some 140 km of signposted, safe routes. You can also play golf, or go fishing, hiking, or horse riding. And there is waterways tourism too, with cabin cruisers and various boat trips on offer. |
