Exchange Zones

We would love to welcome you to our home in the lovely, sought-after beachside community of White Rock, BC. White Rock is a suburb of Vancouver, (home of the 2010 Olympics), and is located in the province of British Columbia, on the west coast of Canada. We have a very moderate climate here, with warm summers from June - September, with temperatures ranging from low 70's to high 80's. Summers here are typically spent at the beach, at one of the many local parks, or just outside enjoying the garden or patio in our fenced backyard. Our winters are very mild here, and we generally only have 3 or 4 days of snow a year. But for you ski or snowboard fans, don't let that discourage you! A 45 minute to 1 hour drive gets you to any one of three local ski hills, with plenty of snow to go around! (Ski season runs from late November to early March).

Our house is a modern, updated 1700 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom rancher. We live in a quiet, family oriented subdivision, with pretty homes, gardens, and wide tree-lined streets. Our home is set up with a living room and family room, a formal dining room, a newly rennovated kitchen (my favorite room in the house :) with eating area, a full 'guest' bathroom, and three good sized bedrooms. The large master bedroom has a king sized bed with memory foam mattress, and a full ensuite. In the other two bedrooms, one has a new single bed, and the other currently has a crib. (I should mention though that our son is due to move into a bed of his own in the next few months. As well, because we have many family and friends in the area, we also have access to other beds which we could move over if need be, to accomodate members of your family.)

Another of my favorite aspects of our home is the patio off the kitchen, where we eat many of our meals during the summer months. We have a comfortable, private backyard, and the covered patio has a BBQ and seating for 6. There are also numerous toys and a swingset for kids. This is a summer time gathering place, and we often sit chatting with friends until well after dark, enjoying a glass of wine, and appreciating the warmth of summer evenings.

Our home is also equipped with much of the latest in modern electronics. There will be a lap top here for your use, and we have wireless internet. We have a blue ray / DVD player, and two flat screen TV's - one which is 51 inches, and plays 3D movies which is lots of fun. We also have a Wii player and a PlayStation 3.
