Exchange Zones

About the house: This is a split home with 3 bedroom and the main bedroom has a small ensuite bathroom.
From each window you can see trees or flowers, this is a very relaxing neighbourhood but very close to town (10 mn drive), if you go the opposite way of downtown, there are some orchards and farms. The house is very bright and comfortable, we have a stone fireplace in the living room area.
We have a nice fenced backyard south of the house with fruit trees, a basketball hoop, a large wooden deck with long chair, a hammoc, a gazeebo to have some shade in summer... I have a small vegetable garden with tomatoes and cooking herbs.

The surroundings: As everybody knows (or not) the Okanagan region is in the warmest part of Canada, it's about 30-35 degrees celcius all Summer and dry (barely any rain) and it's mild in winter (right now it's March 2nd and it's between 4 and 10 degrees, above zero, yes, really!). We are 30 km away from Silver Star mountains (ski in winter, bike in summer!). In Vernon there are three lakes around the city, no more than 15 mn drive away, with sandy beaches.
In town there are museums, cinema, shopping, beaches, bowling, parks for hiking, a pool, and a waterfall, if you want to visit the neaby towns around: there is a small zoo an hour away, wineries, a lot of lakes and more waterfalls. For a day trip I recommend the enchanted forest that kids and adults will love. Our closest airport is Kelowna (Kamloops is not far either). We are close to the USA border too, about 2 hours drive.
