BEST PLACE IN THE WORLD!
One bedroom, thermopedic queen size matress, kitchen, living room, patio. While on an upper floar, the building has an elevator, and our apartment is easily accessable. We have a lovely view North Shore Mountains, great to look at when bbq'ing on the deck, or when enjoying a book from our collection. Our building also has an its own outdoor swimming pool. There is nice park across the street. Located in a dense residitial area, a stroll down lonsdale avenue, with its great shops and restraunts is rewarded with the arrival at Lonsdale quay (8 minutes walk from the apartnment), which is an interesting indoor market. There is a bus stop outside of our home, there is also a larger bus loop at lonsdale quay 8 minutes walk down the hill which has bus/public transit connections for the entire lower mainland.
The north shore is an affluent area of metro vancouver within 15 drive of the following: wildlife (I grew up 2 km away, and we often had deer and bear in our yard) and temporate rainforests (1km away), world class mountain biking (about 3 km away), scuba diving, hiking (1.5 km from trailheads), running trails, 3 ski resorts ,two of which are a 20 minutes drive, grouse mountain is accessible by an approximately 15 minute bus ride, followed by an awe enspiring gondolla ride, which can also be enjoyed as a summer activity. Whistler/blackcomb is a 1.5 hour drive (there is a bus services should you not have a vehicle).Also there are great swimming beaches, kayak and boat rentals.
Urban emenities include a 15 minutes drive or commuter boat ride (2$ per trip) to downtown vancouver (always a fun trip with great photo opportunities).
