Exchange Zones

We live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and may be interested in swapping homes with another household in July or August 2013, purely for a cost-saving way to have a mini-vacation in another part of Canada, U.S. or Europe. Depending on where, it could be a long weekend, or up to three weeks. This is an ideal swap for someone with one or two young children, since we have a room for a child.

Calgary is a city of one million people, and is a 20 minute drive from the Rocky Mountains and Banff National Park. It is fantastic for skiing, canoeing, hiking, rock climbing and all kinds of nature sightseeing. Calgary is also within a few hrs drive of the Columbia Icefields. Within the city, we have museums, a very good zoo, many art galleries (and galas), live theatres, rock climbing centres, a new state-of-the-art Children's Science Centre, festivals throughout the year and more.

Our beautiful estate home is large (3400 sq. ft. living space), with a 55" TV in a media room decorated to feel like a theatre, a real wood fireplace, and a nicely treed backyard. Washer and dryer are brand-new Steam models, and we have a dishwasher and ceramic stovetop. The backyard deck is private with many trees, and features a trampoline and a playhouse. We have a 6 yr old child, and so it is suitable for a couple with one or two children age 2 and up. (there is also a large playroom with mats and play equipment.).

We wish to swap with a 2 bdrm (or more) home in a large metropolitan city in Canada, the U.S. or Europe (other than Edmonton, Toronto, Saskatoon, Arizona, or London.)

-----The only condition is that we have a beautiful 12 yr old Ragdoll cat that needs to be cared for while you stay in our home. He is very sweet, stays indoors, and likes attention much like a dog. We are happy to care for any pets you have as well.

We'll allow smoking on our property, but as we are non-smokers, we ask that it only be done outside, on our back deck.
