Our seaside apartment is located within a 2 minute walk to the historic Wollongong boat harbour. The apartment has recently been fully refurbished and re-furnished. Beautiful North Beach and the ocean pool are just a short stroll, as are many great eateries. A free city bus stops in a neighbouring street. An amazing coastal cycleway can be accessed nearby. Our apartment is in a very well maintained security building with a lift.

Wollongong is a prosperous, growing seaside city with a rich industrial heritage. It is developing a strong cultural, tourism and hospitality scene. Wollongong is located 80 kilometres (50 miles) south of Sydney, with excellent rail and road links direct to both the heart of Sydney and the airport. The famous Royal National Park (2nd oldest national park in the world) lies on the coast between Wollongong and Sydney and can be reached via the spectacular Sea Cliff Bridge. Wollongong is also the gateway to South coast of NSW with its pristine beaches (including the Jervis Bay World Heritage area) and forests.

We are experienced travellers and very open to suggestions regarding home exchange locations. Our current thoughts about destinations include Canada, Eastern USA, and Spain, but we are by no means limited to these.

Additional information:

Non-simultaneous exchanges are welcome. This can make Northern/Southern Hemisphere exchanges much easier in terms of seasons, although Wollongong has a very mild climate all year round.
Car exchange is possible (and preferred).

About Home Exchange Owners :

We (Jane and John) are semi-retired from careers in economic development. Our main family home is in Canberra. The home we usually offer for exchange is our holiday apartment in Wollongong (unless someone particularly wants to stay in Canberra).
