The Royal B.C. Museum is another great way to spend a day, and the museum has an IMAX theatre that always has fantastic documentaries and movies. If you are out for a more fast-paced activity, whale watching is always an adventure filled with exciting things to see. Most places will even offer free trips if no whales are found. Still not as heart racing as you would like? Try WildPlay Element Parks, which is located on an island in Nanaimo. You can drive there, which takes under 2 hours, or you can take the train courtesy of VIA Rail. Traveling via train will cost around $30CAN return trip per person, and takes about two-and-half hours. Victoria’s downtown and Inner Harbour is home to many unique shopping opportunities and entertainment. During the spring/summer seasons, the Inner Harbour provides shows for all ages, including Tall Ship tours and concerts. The B.C. Wax Museum is another interesting place to visit, and the Undersea Gardens can be both educational and exciting… You never know what undersea creature will swim by! Both the B.C.
